American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Oregon, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications with a minimum of two years of experience.

- Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment \n
- Wide range of patient acuity, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies \n
- Variable day/evening flex shifts with start times of 0700, 0900, 1100, 1300, or 1500 — block scheduling is not available \n
- 3x12-hour shifts per week \n
- Travelers are floated to other departments before core staff when qualified to perform patient care \n
- Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays as the ED operates 24/7 \n

- Active Oregon RN license required \n
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC \n
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required \n
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing \n
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities \n
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse patient population across varying levels of acuity \n
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 25 lbs \n
- Must be capable of continuous walking, standing, and working 12-hour shifts in high-stress environments \n

- Responsibilities include patient triage, assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, splinting, and emergency response (rapid response and code blue situations) \n
- Provides direction and supervision to any personnel assigned under their care \n
- Accurately documents patient information, treatment plans, and responses to care in the EHR \n
- Participates in quality improvement efforts and required education for DNV programs as applicable \n
- If the assignment extends beyond 6 months, CRASE training will be required \n
- BSN and specialty-specific certifications are preferred but not required \n
- Work environment includes frequent exposure to infection, contagious disease, hazardous materials, and occasionally combative patients \n
