Job Description
Rock Bottom Express in Jefferson, WI is looking for one kitchen manager to join our strong team. We are located on 211 South Gardner Avenue. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and professional
Qualifications
- State of WI Food Safety Manager Certification
- 2 or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen
- Must be neat, sanitary, on-time, responsible and respectful
- Must abstain from any alcohol or narcotics 8mhours prior to shift and maintain zero=sobriety while on duty.
- Must abstain from tobacco use during shift
Responsibilities
*Will consult with owner to hire, train or dismiss all kitchen staff
*Will train kitchen staff to adhere to best practices as approved by the WI State Health Code
*Will be responsible for all kitchen scheduling and must Guarantee kitchen remains open during scheduled hours
*Will handle all disciplinary actions involving kitchen staff
*Will be creative and consult with owner for menu planning
*Will be responsible for ordering, cost analysis/profit margin(s), portion control and inventory control
*Will help to create a list of 'Standard Operating Practices' along with kitchen opening and closing duties
*Will be ultimately responsible for all kitchen sanitation including but not limited to all kitchen appliances, walk-in cooler, floors, food-prep surfaces etc.
*Grasp of social media and advertising is beneficial
