Job Description
Westview Pediatric Care in Tulsa, OK is looking for one medical assistant with peds experience to join our team. We are located on 3606 N Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Our ideal candidate is energetic, punctual, and a team player.

Responsibilities
- As a valued member of the Clinic, you are hired and expected to manage and/or contribute significantly to the Clinic’s overall financial, organizational, and services goals including, but not limited to the following:
· Assist physician or other medical personnel in the examination process as required or necessary. Performs order entry to electronic medical records, i.e., prescription refills, lab orders, radiology orders, etc.
· Place patients in exam rooms. Drapes and positions patients for appropriate exams or procedures. Assists in restraining or controlling patients.
· Perform routine tests on patients such as vision, spirometer, flu/rapid strep, urinalysis, and urine pregnancy tests.
· Obtain and record vital signs including body temperature, height, weight, and blood pressure. Takes and documents complaints and patient histories including allergies, immunization histories, etc. Maintain patient confidentiality. Receive and return telephone calls from or to patients and pharmacies. Obtain authorizations and referrals.
· Perform various nursing duties such as suture removal, and steri-strip applications, administration of injections, and breathing treatments. Assist with nonsurgical procedures.
· Responsible for stocking exam rooms, taking inventory, ordering supplies, and sterilizing instruments and/or equipment.
· Make scheduling arrangements with other healthcare professionals and facilities.
· Answer telephone, greeting, directing and scheduling patients; input and update computer information, verify insurance, collect payment for services, summarize and report daily business activity.
· Initiate new patient charts and maintains the medical record according to policy.
· Maintain a professional demeanor to assure patients are treated in an appropriate and compassionate manner at all times.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant with experience working with pediatrics
