5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist (1st & 2nd Shift)

We are a high-precision manufacturer serving regulated industries with complex, tight-tolerance components. We are currently hiring experienced 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinists for both 1st and 2nd shifts.

Position Summary

The 5-Axis CNC Mill Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex components with tight tolerances and superior surface finishes. Candidates with aerospace or high-precision manufacturing backgrounds are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines
• Perform complete machine setups including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and prove-outs
• Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality surface finishes
• Adjust feeds, speeds, and tool paths to optimize performance
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary corrections
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Follow safety and quality procedures in a regulated manufacturing environment

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC mills (5-axis preferred)
• Experience performing full machine setups (required for setter roles)
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience in aerospace or high-precision environments preferred
• Ability to hold tight tolerances
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to work 1st or 2nd shift

Compensation

• $28 – $38+ per hour (based on experience)
• Senior-level machinists may earn $40 – $60 per hour depending on expertise
