Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team at our halfway house location. In this role, you will provide clinical support to individuals in early recovery, facilitating both individual and group counseling sessions, developing treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to help each client build a path to long-term recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and formulate diagnostic impressions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
  • Facilitate evidence-based group and individual therapy sessions
  • Educate and support families as part of the treatment process
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards
  • Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, peer specialists, and other treatment team members
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement efforts
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
  • Certification or State licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LPC, LCSW, LCADC, etc.) preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the field of substance abuse counseling, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Strong understanding of addiction theory, counseling techniques, and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing the practice of substance abuse counseling.
