Job Description
#1 In Home Care is seeking a qualified and experienced Administrator to lead operations for at home and community-based services at its LaPlace, Louisiana office location. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting staff performance, maintaining service quality, and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the clients served.
The ideal candidate is a strong operational leader with experience in home care, HCBS, social services, or a related healthcare environment. This person must be capable of managing agency operations, supervising staff, maintaining compliance with Louisiana requirements, and ensuring services are delivered in accordance with each client’s individualized service plan (ISP).
Key responsibilities
- Direct and oversee daily agency operations for the LaPlace office
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Louisiana HCBS regulations, laws, policies, and procedures
- Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate qualified staff members
- Ensure staff receive appropriate orientation and training related to client care, documentation, and agency policies
- Maintain accurate information, internal records, and operational materials
- Serve as liaison between staff, Human Resources, contract personnel, and agency leadership
- Support the implementation of effective budgeting and accounting processes
- Investigate client grievances and ensure timely written responses as required
- Remain available in person or by telecommunication for all aspects of agency operations
- Ensure services are delivered according to each client’s ISP
Minimum qualifications
- Applicants must be residents of Louisiana
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet at least one of the following qualification pathways for an HCBS Administrator:
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least 4 years of verifiable experience in a field providing services to the elderly and/or persons with developmental disabilities
- At least 6 years of verifiable experience in a health or social service-related business, plus 4 additional years of verifiable experience in a field providing services to the elderly and/or persons with developmental disabilities
- Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license in good standing, plus at least 2 years of experience providing care to the elderly or adults with disabilities
- Must not have a disqualifying felony conviction
- Home care, personal care, HCBS, or social services leadership experience
- Knowledge of Louisiana home care and HCBS compliance standards
- Strong staff management, communication, and documentation skills
- Experience with budgeting, operational oversight, and regulatory readiness
- Ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and compassion
