DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the installation, repair and upkeep of plumbing systems throughout the Selinsgrove Center campus. As a Plumber 1, you will perform the following duties:

• Plumbing Installation: Install and repair water, wastewater, steam and pneumatic lines across multiple buildings
• Equipment Maintenance: Service pumps, valves, thermostats, and related mechanical systems to ensure proper operation
• Fixture Repair: Work on sinks, drains, water closets, drinking fountains, and other plumbing fixtures and components
• System Support: Maintain heating, potable water, and wastewater systems to keep indoor environments comfortable
• Utility Assistance: Help mark underground utilities and assist with PA One Call and larger repair projects
• Tool Operation: Use hand tools and power tools to complete skilled plumbing and mechanical tasks

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Overtime and travel as needed
• Free parking
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirements:

• You must be in possession of an active motor vehicle license.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
