Parking Lot Striper

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Parking Lot Striper to join our pavement maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing line striping, pavement markings, and layout work for parking lots, roadways, warehouses, and other commercial surfaces. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, works well outdoors in varying weather conditions, and takes pride in delivering high-quality finished work.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform layout and striping of parking lots, roadways, curbs, crosswalks, ADA markings, fire lanes, and specialty pavement markings
• Operate striping machines, paint sprayers, blowers, grinders, and related equipment
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, measuring, chalking, and ensuring proper layout prior to striping
• Read and interpret site plans, layouts, and customer specifications
• Load and unload materials, paint, stencils, and equipment safely
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and in compliance with company quality standards and local regulations
• Maintain striping equipment and report mechanical or safety issues promptly
• Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety procedures
• Assist with sealcoating, crack filling, asphalt repair, or other pavement maintenance services as needed
• Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers on job sites
• Travel to customer locations and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends when required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in parking lot striping, pavement maintenance, construction, or related field preferred
• Ability to operate line striping equipment and related tools preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce straight, accurate layouts and markings
• Ability to read measuring tools and site drawings
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
• CDL is a plus but not required

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of ADA compliance and pavement marking standards
• Experience with thermoplastic, epoxy, or specialty coatings
• Mechanical aptitude and basic equipment maintenance skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew

Work Environment

• Outdoor construction and pavement maintenance environment
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and equipment operation
• Evening, overnight, and weekend work may be required based on project schedules
