Description

American Traveler is hiring a multispecialty Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with full-body ultrasound, vascular, and echocardiography experience for a 13-week travel contract at a Level IV Trauma acute care hospital.

Details
  • Short-term acute care hospital setting with 49 staffed beds, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center
  • Multispecialty ultrasound unit covering general ultrasound, fetal/OB, breast, transvaginal, vascular, and full echocardiography services
  • Patient ratio of 8:1
  • 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • On-call required Monday through Friday from 5:30 PM – 7:00 AM and 24 hours a day on weekends
  • No floating between units within the facility
  • Epic EMR required
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography
  • Full-body sonography competency required, including general ultrasound, fetal ultrasound, OB, breast, transvaginal, vascular, adult echo, contrast echo, and echo stress treadmill
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR required
  • Active professional license required if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Perform a broad range of ultrasound and echocardiography studies, including general, fetal/OB, breast, transvaginal, vascular, adult echo, contrast echo, and echo stress treadmill
  • Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Free parking available in any unrestricted space
  • Prior work history at any facility within this health system (permanent, travel, or per diem) must be disclosed upon consideration
