Shift: 08:00-18:30, 4 days a week with rotating day off throughout the week, includes 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days a month for call requirements

Job Description:

As an OR Tech, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and management of surgical procedures, under the direction of a surgeon. Duties include setting up equipment and instruments, patient positioning, and maintaining sterile environments.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in transportation and positioning of patients
• Prepares patient and room for the planned surgical procedures
• Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures
• Assists surgeon by passing instruments and suture
• Assists in maintaining correct count of instruments, sutures, and sponges
• Decontaminates instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established policies and procedures
• Aids in the efficient turnover of the operating room for next cases
• Monitors and restocks supplies

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Non-Certified: Graduate of OR technician program, or equivalent training/experience
• Certified: Pass the Certified Surgical Technologist exam through NBSTSA or NCCT
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
• 6 months of technical experience or specialized training
