🏥 Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Days

\n 📍 Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado
\n 📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
\n ☀️ Shift: Days | 6:15 AM–6:45 PM | 3 × 12-Hour Shifts/Week
\n ⏱️ Hours: 36 Hours/Week
\n 💻 EMR: Cerner

\n We're seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment providing observation and inpatient care. The RN will assess and prioritize patient needs, administer treatments, monitor clinical conditions, and collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to support quality patient outcomes.

\n ✅ Requirements
\n Active Colorado or Compact RN License
\n Minimum 5 years of Med-Surg or Emergency Room RN experience
\n Previous travel nursing experience required
\n Cerner EHR/EMR experience required
\n Graduate of an accredited RN program
\n Current AHA BLS Certification
\n Current ACLS Certification
\n Current PALS Certification
\n Basic computer and electronic health record skills
\n Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and ability to work independently

\n 🩺 Clinical Experience
\n Provide observation and inpatient nursing care to Med-Surg patients
\n Perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, interventions, reassessments, and evaluation of care
\n Monitor patients for changes in condition and communicate abnormal findings to providers
\n Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments
\n Operate infusion pumps and maintain accurate electronic documentation
\n Use Cerner and Care Compass for assessments, care tasks, procedures, and patient education
\n Provide age-appropriate nursing care and reassess patient conditions
\n Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes
\n Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, pain management, wound care, and discharge planning
\n Provide effective handoff communication using SBAR
\n Follow infection prevention practices, universal precautions, and patient safety standards
\n Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and other departments
\n Support continuity of care and discharge planning to help prevent readmissions
\n Mentor and support other nursing staff when assigned
