Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | 36 or 48-Hour Contract Options Available
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients, including those receiving oncology, palliative care, and urology treatment
- Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac rhythm changes
- Administer blood products, manage PCA pumps, and perform central line draws and port access
- Assist with bone marrow aspirations and manage Pleurx chest tubes
- Provide family education related to oncological processes and palliative care
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Active WV or Compact RN License (pending license accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- ONS or ONCC certification required (strong candidates without oncology experience will be considered)
- Proficiency with central line draws, port access, blood administration, PCA pumps, and Pleurx chest tubes
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
- Chemotherapy administration experience
- Prior oncology nursing background
- Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center or major teaching hospital setting
- 36 hours per week guaranteed with the option for a 48-hour contract, offering schedule stability throughout your assignment
- Complimentary parking on-site for traveling clinicians and flexibility to accommodate blocked schedule requests
