Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Flex Pool position in Hawaii, floating between medical and surgical units, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active HI RN license required by start date.

Details\n

• Flex Pool RN role floating between multiple units including a Medical Unit (77 beds), Laulima Surgical Acute Unit (18 beds), and Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds, on rare occasions)
\n
• Adult Med/Surg and Step-Down patient population
\n
• Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical Unit 1:6 (days/evenings) and 1:8 (nights), Laulima Unit 1:6, Cardiovascular Unit 1:4
\n
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM, 36 hours per week following orientation week
\n
• Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes are utilized
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one must apply upon acceptance of offer
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS
\n
• Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
\n
• Experience with Med/Surg and/or Step-Down patient populations
\n

\n
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of their assignment; plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday morning Employee Health appointment
\n
• Documented proof of immunity is required; medical and religious exemption requests will not be accepted in lieu of documentation
\n
• Orientation is provided for each unit prior to independent assignment
\n
• Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required
\n
• Ratios may vary due to unexpected staffing changes
\n
