RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
\n• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 (up to 6 patients on nights)
\n• Minimum 3 weekends required in 6-week period
\n• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
\n• Possibility of being placed on call and floating based on hospital needs
\n• If calling in for a shift, must pick up another shift to make up for the absence
\n• 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
\n• Med/Surg experience preferred, telemetry experience required
\n• Must be comfortable with pediatric population
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS (PALS required before start)
\n• Primary nursing responsibilities including vitals and phlebotomy
\n• Professional scrubs in any color required
\n• Work with diverse patient diagnoses including chest pain, CHF, COPD, pneumonia, post-surgical patients
\n• Handle low acuity pediatric patients including post-op tonsillectomy and flu/RSV cases
\n• Use equipment including Alaris IV pumps, telemetry, bladder scanner, and feeding pumps
\n• Chart using Meditech system
\n• 12 hours of orientation provided
\n• Complete up to 8 hours of modules within 1 week of signing

This 78-bed short-term acute care facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services to the community. The hospital features a med/surg telemetry unit with 26 beds serving patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams, while maintaining a focus on quality patient care despite having limited resources as a smaller community hospital.
