Requires prioritization and critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Complies with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines. Uses evidence-based practices and competence to collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality outcomes and coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Identifies barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance. Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires. Practice according to professional and ethical standards as noted in the ANA Code of Ethics and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships and engage in patient and family teaching as appropriate Performs other duties as assigned. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, maintaining adherence to departmental, hospital, state, and federal standards and policies. Follows all infection control, safety, and risk management procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff. QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age (21 for positions requiring driving, with a valid driver s license). Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully pass a background check. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable). Must complete an Employee Health meeting prior to starting employment. EDUCATION, LICENSURE(S), AND CERTIFICATION(S) Required Preferred ? ? Current and active Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact license. ? ? Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire). ? ? Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or be obtained within six (6) months of hire). ? ? Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). ? ? Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). ? ? Current STABLE certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). ? ? Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (or be obtained within one (1) year of hire). ? ? Bachelor s degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. EXPERIENCE Required Preferred ? ? Two (2) years hospital nursing experience. ? ?
