Nuclear Medicine / PET Technologist
LocationMission Viejo, CA
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4x10 or 5x8 shifts | Variable start times between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM | On-call required (post-shift and rotating weekends)
Key Responsibilities- Perform PET imaging as the primary function of the role, with potential float coverage to Nuclear Medicine as needed
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with department protocols and safety standards
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately using electronic health record systems
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and facility compliance requirements
- Participate in on-call rotation, including rotating weekends, as determined by unit needs
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
- Active California state license required (must be in hand prior to start)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- Minimum 6 months of PET imaging experience required (hard stop)
- PET certification not required, but applicable Nuclear Medicine certification plus PET experience is mandatory
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
- Experience with Siemens imaging equipment
- First-time travelers accepted with 2 or more years of total experience
