Key Responsibilities
Associates in this role will gain meaningful courtroom and client exposure, including:
- Legal research and drafting of motions, briefs, and pleadings
- Discovery management and deposition preparation
- Direct client interaction
- Court appearances and hearing participation
- Medical record review and case analysis
- Collaboration with expert witnesses in complex medical malpractice matters
Associates are given substantive responsibility while maintaining flexibility and autonomy in managing their workload and professional development.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Licensed in Iowa (or eligible for admission)
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Interest in medical malpractice and civil litigation
- Commitment to long-term professional growth
