Core ResponsibilitiesScheduling & Coverage
- Maintain full ownership of staff scheduling using ConnectTeam
- Manage schedule adjustments, shift trades, and time-off requests
- Proactively handle both planned and last-minute coverage needs
- Step in to cover shifts personally when required to ensure uninterrupted operations
Staff Training & Oversight
- Onboard and train new staff in policies, procedures, and customer service standards
- Consistently enforce cleanliness standards, performance expectations, and operational rules
- Identify performance issues early and address them directly with staff
- Lead difficult conversations when necessary and escalate issues appropriately to leadership
Operational & Equipment Oversight
- Ensure lounges are clean, well-presented, and operating at a high standard
- Act as the primary liaison between staff and leadership for equipment maintenance, updates, and repairs
- Proactively track, document, and report operational or technical issues
Collaboration & Program Support
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to support scheduling and execution of programs as needed
- Provide additional on-site support during programs or peak times when multiple GLOs are required (for quality assurance and cost efficiency)
- Participate in operations meetings with leadership, team members, and external partners
Creative Leadership & Regional Ownership
As the Regional Operations Coordinator, you are expected to take active ownership of the venues within your region, not only operationally, but creatively.
- Design and implement new experiences, activities, and engagement strategies during open lounge hours
- Identify opportunities to increase participation, repeat visits, and community connection
- Pilot new ideas, formats, or engagement models that align with Metro Esports’ mission and brand
- See creative initiatives through from concept to execution, including staff coordination and on-site rollout
- Evaluate what works, iterate on what doesn’t, and share insights with leadership to inform broader strategy

Compensation Structure
- Flat Leadership Fee: $350 per week
- GLO Shifts: $15/hour
- Programs: Program-specific pay rate, as applicable
This role combines a stable weekly leadership fee with hourly compensation for Guest Lounge Operator (GLO) shifts and additional program opportunities. This is not a full-time position, but candidates should expect to work approximately 15–30 hours per week across leadership responsibilities, GLO shifts, and programs.
Some leadership and administrative duties may be completed during GLO shifts, provided that guest experience and lounge oversight remain the top priority. Other responsibilities will require off-site work or additional on-site hours. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, flexibility, and creative control, including the ability to influence scheduling, workload, and overall engagement within the region.
