CDL A Regional/OTR Household Goods Driver Nationwide

New World Van Lines is seeking a skilled and reliable CDL Class A Regional Driver to join our team. As a crucial member of the New World Van Lines team, this position will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting household goods and possessions between destinations.

Compensation

• Average Annual Pay for Company Driver: $75,000-$100,000
  • Sign-on Bonus: $3,500
• Average Annual Pay for Contract Driver: Net $125,000-$210,000
  • Sign-on Bonus: $5,000
  • Can have own equipment of lease from us
• $1,500 Driver Referral Bonus

Home Time, Route, & Schedule 

• Home Time: Depending on driver preference can be home weekly or every other week 
• Route: Regional or long haul
• Level of Touch: Load and Unload  

Equipment 

• Freightliner Cascadia with Moving Van
• Automatic and Manual (preferred)
• Governed speed: 68 mph

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all state and federal regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Operates the company vehicle by maintaining the safety of the motoring public, self, and company equipment.
• Safely load, secure, and unload household goods and possessions onto the truck and in a customer’s home, ensuring proper handling and care throughout the transportation process.
• Plan and execute routes efficiently to ensure timely delivery while adhering to traffic laws and safety guidelines.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and its equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, hours of service, and other required documentation, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Collaborate with dispatch and other team members to optimize route planning and enhance overall operational efficiency.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to goods or equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer, promoting a professional image both internally and to the public.
• Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Qualifications 

• Must be at least 22 years of age 
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional driving experience with a verifiable safety record.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing the transportation industry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to load, secure, and unload household goods as needed.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and extended shifts when necessary.
• Basic computer skills for electronic logs and communication.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, sometimes weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable with physical exertion, including bending, twisting, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
• Ability to sit for extended periods and withstand long hours of driving.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and possess a valid DOT medical card.
