Youth Counselor (Part-time & PRN positions)


Do you love working with youth? Logan River Academy is looking for entry-level or experienced individuals who have a passion for helping and making a difference in the lives of others.


Logan River Academy is a residential treatment center and fully accredited school for adolescent youth from ages 12-18. We help students struggling with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues including autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, oppositional behavior, bipolar disorder, PTSD, substance abuse, depression, ADHD, impulse control, peer pressure, anger management, self-esteem, grief/loss issues, family relationships, communication, academic struggles, or other setbacks in their life.


Our mission is to provide support and structure to help these students make good choices, be successful, and receive the academic and therapeutic help that they may need.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Providing direct care to clients struggling with psychological and mental disorders
  • One-on-one mentoring to help clients develop coping and life skills
  • Following procedures and instructions, both written and verbal
  • Participate in treatment teams to evaluate clients' treatment plans and suggest ways to improve care
  • Maintain the highest standard of ethics, and confidentiality


Requirements:
  • Drivers License
  • Energetic and Resilient
  • Patient and Compassionate
  • Physically able to respond quickly from any position, walk quickly or jog short distances, stand on feet for a minimum of 15 minutes, and lift up 50 pounds
  • Must complete Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training

Schedules:

We are looking to fill positions on our day shift, evenings, and overnights.

Evening 1: S, S, M, T, every other W 3:00-11:00 pm

Evening 2: S, S, T, TH, every other W 3:00- 11:00 pm

Overnights: Weekdays or Weekends available
