The Quality Assistant I at North Florida Pediatrics plays a vital role in supporting the quality assurance processes within the health care services environment. This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation and monitoring of quality standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to patient care and operational procedures to identify areas for improvement. The Quality Assistant I collaborates closely with clinical and administrative teams to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement. Ultimately, this position contributes to enhancing patient safety, service effectiveness, and overall organizational excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in health care administration, quality management, or related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of health care quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using standard office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a health care environment or quality assurance role.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and data management.
  • Certification related to quality assurance or health care quality (e.g., Certified Quality Improvement Associate).
  • Ability to analyze data and generate meaningful reports to support decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the collection and verification of quality data from various health care departments to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of documentation related to quality assurance activities, including audit reports and compliance records.
  • Participate in routine quality audits and inspections to monitor adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify trends and potential areas for quality improvement based on data analysis.
  • Help coordinate training sessions and communication efforts to promote awareness of quality standards among staff.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support to internal teams regarding quality processes and documentation requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for management and regulatory bodies to demonstrate compliance and progress.
