Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Location: Lexington, KY

Job Type: Locum Tenens / Full-Time

Overview:

A Level I trauma hospital is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia coverage across a wide range of surgical services. This role involves working in a medically directed care model within a high-acuity, team-based environment.

Compensation: $250/hr

Assignment Details:

Start: August 2026 (flexible)

Duration: 13 weeks with option to extend

Schedule:

4x10-hour shifts per week

Start times vary (7:00 AM or 10:00 AM preferred)

Must be able to work at least 2 weeks per month

No call required

Practice Details:

Setting: Hospital (Level I Trauma Center)

EMR: Epic

Medically directed model (typically 1:2–1:4 ratio)

Team includes anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesia techs

All age groups (excluding neonatal)

Patient Volume:

~1–9 cases per day depending on assignment

Case Mix:

Orthopedics

Trauma

Vascular

Neurosurgery (no cardiac cases)

NORA cases required

Responsibilities:

Administer anesthesia under medical direction

Perform intubation and airway management

Place central and arterial lines

Monitor patients throughout perioperative care

Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams

Requirements:

NBCRNA Certified – Required

Active Kentucky License – Required (willing to license)

Minimum 1 year experience – Required (no new grads)

Recent experience in large medical center – Required

Level I trauma experience – Required

Epic experience – Preferred

COVID and flu vaccination – Required

Credentialing:

Estimated timeframe: ~90 days
