Join the team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians to evaluate and treat patients across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Minimum Requirements:
- National certification in specialty from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (preferred ARDMS RDMS).
- AHA BLS certification required at submission.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in ultrasound specialty preferred. Candidates with 3+ years of experience should include detailed experience on resume.
- Proficient and comfortable with general ultrasound, small parts, vascular (lower and upper extremity venous), OB/GYN (fetal survey and 1st, 2nd and 3rd trimester exams), and pediatric studies (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception).
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient imaging and working in a hospital radiology department.
- Ability to perform all department tasks for all ages.
- Willingness and ability to float to multiple hospital sites within the same health system (Cambridge, Somerville, Everett).
- Up-to-date resume required for submission.
- Preferred: Additional vascular or specialty credentials and prior experience covering overnight or extended shifts.
Assignment Details
- Facility Type: Hospital.
- Shift Name: Flex Shifts.
- Shift Details: Flex schedule covering overnight shifts. Typical shift block includes 1900-0700 (12-hour overnight coverage with 36-hour coverage pattern during vacation coverage); specific shift rotations include 7p-7a and 9p-7a as part of the assignment.
- Assignment Length: 12 week assignment with coverage responsibilities that include covering vacation periods and overnight coverage in July and part of August.
- Float Requirement: Required to float to all three sites within the health system (Cambridge, Somerville, Everett); candidate must be agreeable to float responsibilities.
