Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Oklahoma City, OK, requiring 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting and at least 2 years of travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
  • Current certifications required (American Heart Association only): BLS, ACLS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP Advanced Provider or NRP Instructor
  • Minimum of 5 years of L&D experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
  • Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
  • Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • Full date of birth and full SSN required for consideration
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
  • Monitors and obtains physiological data, intervening when necessary, and assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
  • Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products
  • Engages with patients and families to communicate care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
  • Candidates who have previously worked at this health system must have a 6-month separation period after 26 weeks of total service before being eligible for a new contract
  • Compliance deadlines are strictly enforced — candidates should be prepared to begin onboarding immediately upon accepting an offer
