Position Summary

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting consolidation, compliance, and analysis efforts across the business. The role partners closely with plant finance teams and corporate leadership to drive consistency, transparency, and continuous improvement in financial processes.

Essential Duties and Tasks

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and corporate policies
  • Lead key components of the corporate month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Ensure timely and accurate consolidation of financial results across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Maintain and reconcile complex general ledger accounts, including intercompany, inventory reserves, and corporate allocations
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Support consolidation processes, including elimination entries and intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in maintaining and improving consolidation systems and reporting structures
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements (if applicable), and company accounting policies
  • Support internal and external audit requests, including preparation of schedules and documentation
  • Provide variance analysis and insights on financial performance to corporate leadership
  • Partner with FP&A and operational finance teams to explain results and identify risks and opportunities
  • Assist with corporate-level budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and standardization across accounting functions
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and automation initiatives
  • All other duties as needed.

 

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a multi-entity environment
  • Strong understanding of AP controls, accrual accounting, and month‑end close processes.
  • Experience in a multi‑entity, manufacturing, or shared services environment preferred.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and AP automation tools; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Prior SOX or audit‑supported environmental experience strongly preferred.
