PLASTIC MANUFACTURER - seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic facilities team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, building systems, and infrastructure. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment, supporting our commitment to excellence in production and facility management. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC system checks, residential painting, and general building upkeep
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues accurately and implement effective solutions
• Other Duties as assigned

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments
• Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair, including working with schematics and electrical components
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and repairs
• Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
