Nurse Practitioner – Family Practice
Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities Available
AMA Family Practice is a small, patient-focused family practice seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our wonderful healthcare team!
We pride ourselves on providing personalized, high-quality care in a welcoming environment. Our practice serves patients of all ages, allowing you to build meaningful, long-term relationships with individuals and families in our community.
Both experienced Nurse Practitioners and New Graduate NPs are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute, episodic, and chronic medical conditions
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans and patient management strategies
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate
- Provide patient education and preventive healthcare
- Facilitate referrals to specialists and other healthcare professionals as needed
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians and specialists regarding patient care
- Review outside medical records and incorporate relevant information into patient charts
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to patients of all ages
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license
- Current DEA registration
- Professional malpractice insurance
- Previous nursing or clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish positive relationships and rapport with patients
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative member of the healthcare team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced family practice environment
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- EMR experience is helpful but not required
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!
