Job Summary
The turret driver operates narrow-aisle turret trucks to perform put-away, replenishment, picking, and inventory control in high-density racking areas. The role requires strong safety awareness, precision in handling materials, and adherence to warehouse management systems (WMS)
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate turret trucks/reach equipment to load, unload, and move palletized or skid materials in and out of narrow-aisle racking
- Put away products into designated rack locations, ensuring correct placement and compliance with safety clearances
- Pick and retrieve items for outbound shipments, preparing them for loading
- Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage areas
- Maintain inventory accuracy by following WMS instructions, conducting cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies
- Operate other equipment as needed, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or cherry pickers
- Perform pre-operational checks on turret trucks to ensure safety and functionality
- Follow OSHA and safety protocols, report hazards or equipment issues promptly
- Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring materials are returned to stock and waste is disposed of properly
A clamp driver operates specialized forklifts to handle and transport large cylindrical loads, ensuring safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Clamp Truck: The primary duty is to operate a clamp truck, which is designed to lift and transport large, cylindrical objects such as barrels, rolls, or drums within a warehouse or production facility
- Loading and Unloading: Responsible for loading and unloading materials from trucks and other transport vehicles, ensuring that items are secured and handled safely
- Stacking and Organizing: Stack materials in an organized manner to prevent shifting or falling, which requires attention to detail and spatial awareness
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the clamp truck and report any defects or issues to supervisors
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment
