Job Title: Photonic Test Development Engineer
Location: Cambridge, MA - relocation assistance offered!
Compensation: $120K - $180K base DOE plus equity
Requirement: Photonic Testing, Wafer-Level Testing, Device Characterization, DVT, Optics, PIC Testing, Python
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Photonic Test Development Engineer to join our team. This position focuses on developing and implementing testing solutions for photonic devices, ensuring their performance and reliability through rigorous testing methodologies and innovative measurement systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design test setups for photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and other optical devices.
- Conduct optical testing and device characterization to evaluate performance parameters.
- Utilize automated wafer probers for efficient wafer-level testing of photonic devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate test development into product design.
- Analyze test data and provide detailed reports to improve product reliability and performance.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in photonics and optical testing technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (PhD Preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- Proven experience in test development and optical testing of photonic devices.
- Strong understanding of measurement systems and fiber optics technology.
- Familiarity with DVT and wafer-level testing methodologies.
- Experience with automated wafer probers and device characterization techniques.
- Knowledge of lasers and their applications in photonic systems.
- Familiarity with the Python programming language
