RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
\n• Weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed
\n• Self-assisted scheduling through Optilink for 6-week periods
\n• Patient ratios of 1:4 with drips/bipap, otherwise mostly 1:5
\n• Must have cardiac PCU experience and be comfortable with 1:5 ratios
\n• Minimum 2 years experience required - first time travelers accepted
\n• Previous Charge RN experience preferred
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIH preferred
\n• EPIC charting system experience required
\n• Must pass mandatory EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)
\n• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
\n• Subject to float to any campus if needed
\n• Nurse assistants available 24/7, RN secretary 7a-11p
\n• Use of Rapid Response Teams preferred
\n• Care for adult patients with focus on cardiac conditions and secondary respiratory problems
\n• Required skills include telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and procedural sedation
\n• 50-mile local radius restriction applies

This healthcare organization operates a 30-bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that provides comprehensive cardiac care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The facility specializes in treating patients with congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and pre/post cardiac catheterization procedures. All patient rooms are equipped with remote monitoring capabilities through a centralized cardiac monitoring department, ensuring continuous patient surveillance and safety.
