American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position at a children's hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience and WA state licensure.

- Level IV NICU at a 152-bed children's hospital, which is the 2nd highest-level NICU in the state \n
- NICU consists of 70 beds with a typical census of around 50 patients \n
- Patient population includes premature infants down to 22 weeks gestation, RDS, high-risk deliveries, feeders/growers, and NAS; preferred experience with surgical patients and HIE (Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy) \n
- NICU features private rooms, with overflow to a Level II Nursery for feeders/growers \n
- Unit is part of a pediatric hospital attached to an adult hospital with high-risk labor and delivery \n
- 12-hour night shifts (0700–1930 or 1900–0730) \n
- 36 hours per week \n
- Every other weekend rotation required; occasional back-to-back weekends possible but rare \n
- Rare floating possible to the ER in a sitter capacity \n
- No on-call requirements \n
- Block scheduling is possible \n
- EMR: Epic \n
- \n
- Active WA state RN license or compact RN license required \n
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required \n
- Minimum 2 years of Level III-IV NICU experience required \n
- Proficiency with respiratory support including mechanical ventilation required \n
- Experience with NCPAP, UAC/UVC management, PICC lines, G-tubes, NG/OG tubes, medication administration, care planning, and discharge-to-home coordination required \n
- Experience with trachs highly preferred but not required \n
- Preferred experience with surgical NICU patients and HIE \n
- At least one supervisor-level reference required for consideration; a second supervisor-level reference required prior to start \n

- First-time travelers will be considered, though travel experience is strongly preferred \n
- Any scrub color is acceptable \n
