JOB OVERVIEW

Full-time Senior Architect to participate on various projects through all phases of design and construction. An employee in this role should be a creative, self-motivated design professional who is able to utilize current technologies to achieve design excellence. This position reports to the Senior Architect, Team Lead.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction
  • Execute project plans and directly oversee the project team's design and technical delivery, including delivering timely projects and adhering to all project deadlines
  • Serve as a Project Manager and/or collaborate as part of a team to design a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction
  • Manage and oversee the team in the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications
  • Review completed plans, checklists, reports, narratives, specifications, estimates, and calculations for accuracy and compliance, prior to the review from design and technical principals
  • Present directly to the client on project technical and design solutions
  • Assist in the pursuit of new projects, including attending interviews and reviewing project proposals
  • Be a resource to Architects and all architectural staff
  • Help to maintain project information within HHA established technologies (i.e. Deltek Vantagepoint), approve project time and invoices, and update schedules weekly
  • Work closely with firm leadership and staff to achieve a high level of project success
  • Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision-making
  • Anticipated billable performance: 80%

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam Revu
  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Degree in Architecture and licensure required
  • Additional sustainable or technical accreditations encouraged
  • 10+ years of experience
