Manufacturing Assembler - JM

A manufacturing assembler is needed to fill an opening working first shift from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.

Duties:

• Work with small products, light sub-assemblies, and/or complete units of a smaller size while reading blueprints
• Load and unload previously set up various machines; however, you may be assigned to different workstations as production needs require
• Assist skilled operators or work at a bench assembling specific parts and repair units that fail to meet specifications
• Operate production line equipment requiring specified training or assembles larger, heavier, or more complex products
• Mount and connect auxiliary mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment; cuts and fits pipe and tubing
• Remove small quantities of metal using hand files or portable grinders, drills, taps, or ream holes using drill press or portable drill
• Align components and fasten them using hand tools or portable powered tools, install moving parts and tests for free movement
• Bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems or align and mesh gears in gearboxes, operate drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines
• Test or assist in testing completed products, pull parts for products based on bills of material, and assemble, test, and maintain product documentation.
• Uses basic hand, electric, and pneumatic tools, and safely operate tow motors and overhead cranes 

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
• Must have experience using basic hand tools and small machines
• Mechanical aptitude is required to diagnose and solve manufacturing issues
• Experience using overhead cranes, hoists, and tow motor is preferred
• Must have the ability to read and understand drawings and assembly instructions
• Must be able to work individually or as part of a team to ensure quality and on-time completion
• Must be computer literate
• Must be able to comply with safety regulations, adhere to quality standards, inspect products to meet customer and company requirements, and maintain clean, orderly work areas
