Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) specializing in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and located in Mission Viejo, California, is responsible for performing advanced imaging procedures using PET/CT and other nuclear medicine techniques. Candidates are required to bring their licensing and certifications on the first day. This role involves working scheduled shifts of 8 hours, with possible rotation to weekends and on-call duties as specified.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4x10s or 5x8s shifts as preferred by the client, with rotating weekend shifts, weekday and weekend call, and occasional overtime. On-Call starts from 1730-0700 the next morning. Variable shift start times as early as 0700.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), ARRT (N) certification, NMTCB certification, BLS certification, minimum of 6 months PET experience, and at least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience. Candidates with 2 or more years of experience may be considered as first-time travelers.
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, Siemens imaging equipment experience (specifically with Siemens Symbia systems), and prior experience in PET/CT imaging.
- Additional Information: The candidate must have experience with advanced nuclear medicine procedures, including PET scans, metabolic imaging, and the handling and disposal of radioactive materials. The role includes rotating shifts, weekend coverage, and on-call duties, with specific requirements for compliance including recent California Fire Card and references. The candidate must disclose any past employment at a Providence facility, and the ability to float within the state is expected.
