REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Intubation
• Central line placement

• Management of acute medical and traumatic emergencies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC in EM, FM, or IM with EM experience (ABEM preferred)
• Licenses: Active Louisiana medical license, active LA DEA and CDS
• DEA / CDS: Active DEA and CDS with Louisiana address
• Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (unless ABEM-certified)
• Experience: Residency trained in EM, FM, or IM
• Other Qualifications: CME and case logs from past 2 years required for credentialing

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide emergent and urgent medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department
• Perform emergency procedures including intubation, central line placement, and moderate sedation
• Supervise and collaborate with advanced practice providers (NP/PA) during shifts
• Coordinate with backup specialists in cardiology, gastroenterology, oncology, podiatry, and surgery as needed
• Document patient care accurately in Cerner Community Works EMR
