Place of Performance- Ancillary Medical services will be performed in the Health Service Department at FCI Three Rivers TX, located at 1700 W. Highway 72 West, Three Rivers, Texas 78071.

 

One (1) Radiologic Technologist - Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding Federal holidays, with a 30-minute non-paid lunch break- 8 sessions (hours) per day = 1,128 sessions per year

 

RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST Description of Duties The contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to: • Perform routine radiologic procedures ordered by the medical staff for the adults in custody at the institution. • Transmit, retrieve X-ray images and reports electronically, and scan reports into the Bureau Electronic Medical Record (BEMR). • Receive training to retrieve radiographic consults from BEMR and schedule them to perform all radiographic procedures. • Work with the adults in custody from a variety of cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds. • Evaluate radiographic equipment for calibrations and repairs. • Possess knowledge of basic emergency situations that may occur during special radiographic procedures. • Schedule exams and maintain records. • Possess knowledge of various pathological abnormalities as demonstrated by radiographic imaging. • Independently assess and select technical exposure factors and positions necessary to obtain a proper quality diagnostic exam. Receive patients and explain procedures to alleviate undue anxiety.

 

Education and Experience The BPA employee shall be fully licensed to perform radiological procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist. The BPA employee should also be licensed by any state or U.S. territory. The Contractor must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified, in accordance with the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. The contractor must possess of their graduation from an accredited school of radiology technology. The individual selected to perform these services must be able to pass a drug screening and law enforcement agency background check.
