OpTech is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) for a 13-week contract. In this role,


Location: Detroit, MI

Hours: 3-12 hour shifts; 6pm - 6am

Compensation: Very generous!!


Overview:

  • Responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Work closely with Radiologists to perform complex procedures and maintain excellence in clinical documentation and patient care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Performance: Analyze anatomical structures and set up equipment to perform precise CT scans. Manually control equipment to capture proper diagnostic information.
  • Patient Care: Explain examination procedures to patients, obtain relevant medical history, and monitor for possible reactions to contrast media.
  • Advanced Procedures: Administer intravenous contrast using power injectors and assist Radiologists with complex sterile procedures, such as biopsies.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to ALARA principles and radiation protection protocols (shielding, dose reduction, etc.).
  • Technical Integration: Manage image delivery into PACS, resolve exceptions, and complete study indexing within the RIS (Radiology Information System).
  • Operational Support: Prepare procedure rooms, maintain sterile equipment, and ensure adequate supplies are stocked and stored properly.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Registration: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) with advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) (or be registry-eligible).
  • Certifications: Current BLS (AHA) certification is required.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience operating CT equipment and general radiography experience.
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Must maintain required hours of continuing medical education (CME).
