Job Description
Experience a rewarding opportunity as a dedicated School Psychologist supporting students and school staff in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time, contract position is designed to provide maternity leave coverage from October through November, working across two buildings—a K-5 elementary school and a 7-8 middle school. Contribute your expertise to help shape positive student outcomes and collaborate with faculty in an engaging and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Familiarity with assessment tools for K-8 students
- Knowledge of academic, behavioral, and emotional interventions
- Strong case management and report-writing skills
- Solid communication and collaboration abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple campuses
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform psycho-educational evaluations for elementary and middle school students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to support student success
- Provide consultation on interventions, accommodation planning, and behavioral management
- Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
- Track student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare timely reports
- Support crisis intervention efforts as needed
- Deliver counseling and social-emotional support as identified in student plans
