An established Denver law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to join our team. This is an opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and can effectively manage priorities. 

1 plus years of experience as a workers’ compensation paralegal/legal assistant is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications: 

Ability to multitask and transition between ongoing assignments without losing continuity or accuracy 

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize deadlines and manage a high-volume caseload 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook 

We are looking for a motivated individual who takes initiative, maintains attention to detail, and contributes positively to a collaborative team environment. 

Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are highly preferred and encouraged to apply. 

General duties include but are not limited to the following: 

Assist in the preparation and trial/hearings of workers’ compensation cases. 

Perform legal research, draft pleadings and other court documents. 

Organize and maintain digital files. 

Assist in the creation of exhibits for hearings and medical review. 

Locate, request and organize the medical, employment, educational and government records of clients. 

Communicate and establish relationships with the providers of such information. 

Analyze and summarize incoming records and create Excel spreadsheets to summarize medical treatment costs and case costs. 

Manage the attorney’s calendar, this means being aware of upcoming appointments or creating future events that require the attorney’s attention. • At least 2 years of experience in a paralegal or legal assistant role, with workers’ compensation experience required.
• Working knowledge of workers’ compensation procedures, documentation, and case support responsibilities.
• Strong ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy across a high-volume workload.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for document preparation, tracking, and communication.
• Experience supporting litigation activities such as discovery, trial preparation, and case file organization.
• Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and careful attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and team members.
• Spanish bilingual skills are strongly preferred.
