We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Executive Chef to lead the kitchen of a well-established, upscale Italian restaurant in Bonita Springs. This is a high-energy, guest-focused environment known for its strong local following and consistent volume.
This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality, consistent food while leading and developing a team.
Position OverviewThe Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring excellence in food quality, execution, and team performance. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong operational discipline, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure.
The right candidate will bring a balance of leadership, structure, and controlled creativity, with a focus on consistency and accountability.
Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Leadership
- Lead daily kitchen operations in a high-volume environment
- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
- Maintain and evolve menu offerings, including specials and seasonal items
Team Management
- Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff
- Foster a professional, accountable, and team-oriented culture
- Lead by example with a strong, hands-on presence during service
Operations & Financial Performance
- Manage food cost, labor, and inventory to meet targets
- Oversee ordering, vendor relationships, and product quality
- Implement and maintain systems for efficiency and consistency
Standards & Compliance
- Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are upheld
- Maintain recipe consistency, portion control, and kitchen organization
- 3-5+ years of Executive Chef or senior kitchen leadership experience
- Experience in upscale casual or high-volume dining environments (Italian cuisine preferred)
- Strong understanding of food cost, labor management, and kitchen systems
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- A hands-on leader who leads from the front
- Strong operator who values consistency over ego
- Someone who can build trust, accountability, and structure in the kitchen
- A chef comfortable working closely with ownership and taking full responsibility for kitchen performance
