Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Description\nWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, manage cardiac drips, and demonstrate proficiency with EPIC systems. The position is designed for a dedicated professional with a strong background in PCU nursing.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Provide patient assessments and direct care to individuals in the Progressive Care Unit. \n
- Administer medication and monitor the administration of cardiac drips. \n
- Utilize the EPIC system for documentation and patient records management. \n
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. \n
- Float to similar units as needed, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to patient needs. \n

- Current NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License. \n
- American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications. \n
- NIHSS certification required. \n
- Minimum of 3 years of recent PCU RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility. \n
- Proven experience with cardiac drips and strong critical thinking skills. \n
This position requires a night shift, working every other weekend (EOW), totaling 36 hours per week.
