UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a CT Technologist Adv to join the team in the Night Program! This opportunity offers steady overnight scheduling with an additional $2.00/hour Night Program differential on top of the hospital’s current off-shift differential for all eligible night hours worked within the program.
The department is offering a variety of scheduling options, including:
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
OR - A combination of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts
This position includes rotating weekends and holidays, with no call responsibilities required.
Night Program Details:
Participants with 6 months or more of experience must commit to working all full-time equivalent (FTE) budgeted shifts during night hours (between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM). For example, a 0.9 FTE employee would work 36 hours of night shifts each week.Eligible employees receive the additional $2.00/hour Night Program differential on top of the hospital’s standard off-shift differential for qualifying night hours worked within the program.
Any additional day-shift hours worked for meetings, competencies, or education will be paid at the regular applicable rate without the Night Program differential.
Employees who rotate onto nights as part of a standard schedule, but are not enrolled in the Night Program, are not eligible for the additional differential.
Responsibilities:- Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
- Assist with the training of staff and student technologists.
- Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced level of knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging by providing patient care as defined by the most up to day protocols and procedures.
- Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (i.e. 3D recon, cardiac scanning, etc.) and analyzes data promptly.
Participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
- 2 years CT experience required.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- ARRT certified as a CT Technologist.
- CPR or BLS Required.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
- ARRT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
