Job Summary
Rome Health is seeking an experienced Medical Surgical/Step-Down Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will provide high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in a step-down setting, utilizing strong assessment skills and clinical judgment to manage patients with complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Monitor and care for adult and geriatric step-down patients.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in patient condition.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
Provide patient and family education.
Ensure compliance with facility policies and patient safety standards.
Requirements
Active RN License.
Minimum 1–2 Years of Recent Step-Down and/or Telemetry Experience.
BLS Certification.
ACLS Certification.
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
Strong telemetry monitoring and acute care experience.
