LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Director of Nursing for a travel nursing job in Gifford, Illinois.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership & Staff Management

  • Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to nursing staff and nurse managers
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate nursing personnel
  • Develop staffing plans and ensure appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios
  • Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and professional growth

2. Clinical Oversight & Patient Care

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care
  • Establish and enforce clinical standards, policies, and procedures
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as needed
  • Address clinical issues, escalations, and risk management concerns

3. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)
  • Oversee audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure adherence to healthcare regulations
  • Lead performance improvement initiatives and patient safety programs

4. Operations & Strategic Planning

  • Develop and manage nursing department budgets
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and organizational goals
  • Optimize workflow, efficiency, and resource utilization
  • Implement new programs, technologies, and best practices

5. Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with physicians, administrators, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Represent nursing leadership in executive meetings
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families
  • Promote patient satisfaction and quality care initiatives
🎓 Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN/MHA) preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of nursing experience, with 2–3 years in leadership/management
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and accreditation standards
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills
