Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) Technologist position in Auburn, Washington, involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures related to cardiac and electrophysiology (EP) cases. Candidates are expected to have a minimum of one year of experience in a Cath Lab setting, with additional interventional radiology (IR) experience strongly preferred. The role requires navigating high-acuity patient types, operating scrub and anesthesia equipment simultaneously, and providing essential support for a variety of cardiac,EP, and IR procedures. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Auburn, Washington
- Shift: Weekdays 0630 - 1700 plus call 1-2 nights/week and 1-2 weekends/month.
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: WA State License (required to apply), RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT(R) (Radiologic Technologist Registered), BLS, ACLS, 1 year Cath Lab experience (with additional IR experience strongly preferred).
- Preferred Qualifications: Monitoring experience, experience with specific patient types including diagnostic/interventional Cath Lab procedures such as NSTEMI, STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotablator, CTOs, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral interventions, loop recorders; EP procedures including Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead revisions, generator changes; IR procedures including G and GJ tubes, nephrostomy, IVC filter placement, dialysis catheters, ports, embolizations, Kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, Y90, TIPs, biopsies; familiarity with EMR (EPIC).
- Additional Information: On-Call 1-2 nights/week and 1-2 weekends/month with a 30-minute response time. Floating coverage may be required at Good Samaritan or Tacoma General. Scrub color is provided.
- Patient Types: Cardiac catheterization for diagnostic/interventional procedures, Electrophysiology procedures, and Interventional Radiology cases.
- Additional Notes: Consideration for first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience.
