About this job
Join a home health team in Orangeburg, SC as a Physical Therapist. Provide evaluation, planning, implementation, and ongoing assessment of physical therapy services for patients across the lifespan in their homes. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and revise Plans of Care, document progress, and educate patients and families on safe mobility, use of durable medical equipment, and therapeutic procedures. Work will require manual handling, prolonged standing and walking, adherence to infection control, and occasional local travel to patient homes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA‑approved program.
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist. Required to start the assignment.
- Proof of current CPR certification. Required.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance. Required.
- 1–2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, standing and walking for prolonged periods.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally to patient homes.
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Must meet mandatory continuing education requirements and maintain professional competency.
- Client-specific requirement: Home health experience is preferred but not required for consideration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous home care experience. Preferred.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment ordering and adaptation for home environments. Preferred.
