Senior Software Engineer

**Description** SAIC is looking for a **Senior Software Engineer** for a position located in **San Diego, CA** . This position needs to be highly experienced in **JavaScript, React, Linux (RHEL),** and **has a strong background in Web Experience.** This role **requires** you to have an **ACTIVE SECRET clearance to star** t. *This will be an **ON-SITE role** with expected travel up to 10% throughout the year.* **JOB DUTIES:** + The candidate shall perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components. + The work will include development of software on a RHEL OS platform. + This will include software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware. + Development will consist of application writing and policy for security accreditations. **Qualifications** **REQUIREMENTS** : + Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. + Must be a U.S. Citizen. + Must have an Active Secret Clearance. + Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start. + Must have **Solid Linux (RHEL** ) familiarity + Must have strong background in front-end technologies, including **JavaScript** , **React** , CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery and LESS. + **Strong Web experience** + 3-5 years industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large scale systems in production. + Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux. + Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB and MySQL. + Basic design ability: Including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design. + Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale. + Ability to visualize a proposed system and be able to build it. **DESIRED SKILLS:** + Experience with C++ Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
