Summary
We’re hiring a high-performing Production Technician who values efficiency, accuracy, and a steady workflow. This role is ideal for someone who wants control over their income through a performance-based pay structure. You’ll handle inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs while maintaining strong productivity and quality standards. Success in this role is measured by billed hours, diagnostic accuracy, productivity, and process consistency.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services based on approved repair orders
  • Diagnose drivability, electrical, mechanical, and performance concerns efficiently and accurately
  • Complete digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) with detailed notes, photos, and recommended actions
  • Review repair orders to confirm scope and parts before starting work
  • Perform testing and verification to ensure accurate root-cause diagnosis
  • Maintain consistent workflow with minimal downtime
  • Communicate delays, additional findings, or parts issues quickly
  • Accurately document diagnostics, test results, and completed work in Tekmetric before closing jobs
  • Keep a clean, organized, and professional work bay
  • Support team members when workload allows
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • Participate in daily huddles and team meetings

Required Qualifications
  • 2–3+ years of professional automotive repair and diagnostic experience
  • Ability to perform diagnostics independently
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Own professional-grade tools
  • Experience with shop management software (Tekmetric preferred)
  • Ability to meet productivity and performance expectations
Preferred (Not Required)
  • ASE Certifications (especially A-Series or L1 Advanced Engine Performance)
  • Experience with electrical and drivability diagnostics
  • Experience in KPI-driven or performance-based shops
  • Proven ability to maintain 80%+ productivity
Performance Expectations
  • Minimum productivity: 70%
  • Target productivity: 80%+
  • Accurate and efficient diagnostics
  • Low comeback rate (accuracy impacts earnings)
  • Complete documentation on all jobs (notes + photos)
  • Participation in monthly and quarterly performance reviews
Schedule & Work Environment
  • Monday–Friday: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Early close Fridays at 4:00 PM
  • No weekends
  • Clean, organized, process-driven shop
