Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Patient Advocate to join our front office team. Position Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Patient Advocate to join our front office team. As a key first point of contact for our patients, the Patient Advocate plays a vital role in delivering a welcoming and efficient experiencefrom check-in to check-out. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient-centered service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients in person and by phone with professionalism and warmth
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using our EMR system
- Check patients in and out, verifying demographics and insurance information
- Collect co-pays and other payments as needed; provide receipts and documentation
- Assist patients with paperwork and answer questions about clinic procedures
- Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient flow
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and clinic policy
- Support care coordination and follow-up activities as directed by the provider or care team
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associates or medical office training (preferred)
- Previous front desk or customer service experience in a medical setting strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and maintain a calm, positive demeanor
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus, but not required
