Job Description
We are seeking a customer-focused Parts Counter Associate / Parts Advisor to join our parts department. In this role, you will be the go-to resource for customers and service technicians looking to identify, locate, and order the right parts for their vehicles. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about the automotive industry. Prior dealership or automotive parts experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
- Assist retail and wholesale customers and service technicians in identifying and ordering the correct parts and accessories
- Process parts orders by locating and retrieving inventory from stock
- Provide accurate pricing, availability information, and delivery timelines
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular stock checks
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming parts shipments
- Ensure the parts department is organized, clean, and efficiently managed
- Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to fulfill parts requests promptly
- Process returns and warranty claims according to dealership and manufacturer procedures
- Provide professional and courteous phone and in-person customer service
- Stay informed on current parts, product updates, and automotive industry trends
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a parts counterperson, parts advisor, or in an automotive parts retail environment preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory and locate parts quickly
- Excellent customer service, communication, and phone etiquette skills
- Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) a plus
- Ability to calculate pricing, discounts, and margins using basic math and Excel
- High attention to detail and accuracy when fulfilling orders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Valid driver's license preferred
